I picked up an old dovetail saw off of Craigslist a little while back with the intent to clean up and use.
This saw was manufactured by Kaye and Sons in Hull England.
A bit of info on the company can be found here.

From this site, we know that the saw was made sometime between 1877 and WWII. (When the Bond St facility noted on the spine was bombed)
When I got this saw, the tote was quite loose and had some cracks. I shored up the cracks with generous amounts of BLO and a bit of CA glue in a couple spots. I just put a few coats of wax on the tote after cleaning it.
I used electrolysis to de-rust the blade followed bit a bit of sanding. I cleaned the brass but didn’t fully polish it because that wasn’t the look I was going after.
It is sharpened to 16ppi and I’ve already started to develop some new patina for it in use.
